The Car And Van Rental Co Ltd was established during 1959 and quickly gained a reputation for reliable service and customer satisfaction.
During the early 1990's a new management team bought the business and, during the last ten years, have been actively growing the Company by increasing the number of branches and vehicles available for rent.
Presently the Company can offer the following services:
Short term rental of cars and vans from one of it's locations at Haddington (East Lothian), Edinburgh Airport and Stirling.
Long term rental ( Contract Hire ) of cars and vans throughout the UK.
Whilst the contract hire agreement can be tailored to meet customer's particular requirements the package typically includes:
Full maintenance covering routine servicing and ad hoc break downs
Tyre replacement
Road fund licence
Breakdown recovery
Courtesy vehicles during service or breakdown
Generally the agreement runs for three years and the customer povides insurance cover for the vehicle.
Variable term rentals of cars and vans.
Where a customer has a requirement for a vehicle for a prolonged period but are unable to commit to a full three year contract it is possible to rent an 'existing fleet' vehicle for shorter periods but benefit from the cheaper long term rates.
Although the fleet has grown substantially over the past decade the growth has not been to the detriment of the high service levels customers have come to expect. These high service levels can be substantiated by the many new customers the company has secured including Health Boards, Local Authority Councils and small to large privately owned businesses.
